Empire, a Guildhall games applet

This applet is inspired by the old text console game of Empire, but also by early versions of the game Civilization. It does not use source code from either of those applications. Now while I'd love for Empire's graphics to look like its icon, in fact that image was from a session I played of game 0 A.D. (see link information in the footnote below). I'll replace it when my Empire can display something half as good. In the meantime, this is how far I've gotten.

Next Steps

• None scheduled. Empire is tucked away in a far room on a dark shelf as there are plenty of other matters that require more immediate attention.

Notes

According to Wikipedia [Empire (1977 video game)], Empire was conceived by Walter Bright starting in 1971. The images used in the icons are a placeholder, captured from a screenshot of a session of the modern game 0 A.D, described at Wikipedia [0 A.D. (video game)]. Civilization is described at Wikipedia [Civilization (series)].
